Cyclists raise money for three worthwhile charities including Motability!
Many companies get involved with charitable events and the likes of RSA Motability, DWF and Motability Operations are no exception. A team of cyclists recently completed a 285 mile trip from Liverpool to Bristol in three days raising just shy of £7000 for charities such as Motability, the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.
The seven cyclists moved at a clear 100 miles per day through Brecon Beacons National Park and Snowdonia as well as through other rough terrain in order to complete the three day event.
Hazel Gotfraind, Motability’s Fundraising and Marketing Director has stated that the charity are extremely grateful to RSA Motability for organising the event and that special thanks goes to those who took part. Every year RSA Motability raise many thousands of pounds for Motability cars, helping disabled people across the UK to get the right car or adaptations to enable them to live their life independently without having to rely on others for help.
The RSA Motability’s Corporate Relationship Manager, Mark Jackson has also stated that as Motability’s insurance provider they see on a daily basis what difference a Motability car can make to disabled people and their families. He has stated that he is extremely proud of the cyclists for their undoubtedly hard work and effort they have put in to completing both the event and the previous training and that the team of cyclists raised a lot of money for three very worthwhile causes.
Without the support of other companies such as Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Autoglass, Quality Repair Centres, Ai Claims Solutions, Plexus, Murphy & o’Rawe, R-ISC Investigation & Surveillance Co, HBM Sayers and also Tughans & Sherwoods the team would not have been able to raise as much money as they would have wanted for motability cars, Kent and the rest of UK will benefit from the money as well as any future people who become involved with the charities.
